Black Ice H/S is a line of carburetor heat shields available for your Big-Bore (and Pit-Bike). By shielding the carburetor from the hot mid-section of your header pipe, your carburetor will remain cooler providing more fuel through the same size jet. The combination of denser air and cooler fuel can therefore combine to generate more horsepower even in a stock engine.
Two of Team Subways'Honda CRF450's were measured at the end of the 1st 250cc moto at Southwick in 2004. The carburetor temps were over 200° F cooler with Black Ice H/S installed.
